Inbox ad and sidebar both load from the beginning, and the inbox ad persists no matter what.
The sidebar ad should also not show at all, and should always look like the first image attached. The ad within my inbox should not be shown at all from the very beginning, and should also not take up any space as some sort of "blank"/deleted element.
By this point, the sidebar ad should be gone, but the inbox ad still persists. If sidebar and inbox ad are both present, refresh pageĪ) If both ads are still present, refresh againī) If both ads are STILL present, close tab, wait 5 seconds, then open a new tab (not recovering the tab with Ctrl + Shift + T),Ĭ) If ads are still present, close the window completely, wait 10 seconds, and open a new window, then open Hotmail once more. Open Hotmail on Google Chrome after desktop has loaded. Unfortunately it would seem that this is Google Chrome-specific, as I have uBlock on 2 other browsers-LibreWolf, and Waterfox-all 3 browsers with default settings for the extension, and Chrome is the only one of these 3 that still lets these ads slip through. The inbox ad is also something different initially (some other product or service), but when refreshing a few times or going back to open my emails at some point again, the inbox ad is changed to the aforementioned Microsoft ad, but the sidebar is gone. In addition to this, sidebar ads also show up when opening Hotmail for the first time in a day. Microsoft ads promoting nothing more than a premium subscription service to go "ad-free" now appears in my Hotmail inbox. using a new, unmodified browser profile. I checked the documentation to understand that the issue I am reporting is not normal behavior. The issue is not present after disabling uBO in the browser. I performed a cursory search of the issue tracker to avoid opening a duplicate issue. For support, questions, or help, visit /r/uBlockOrigin.
